In her own words, budget friendly wedding invitations are her specialty. "With the economy on the down turn and weddings costing as much as they do, many brides are looking for ways to cut costs. Making handmade invitations is just one of them," Delilah explains. "I wanted to host a DIY invitations contest to give these brides an outlet for showing off their great work, but also with the focus of inspiring each other on their journey."

Do-It-Yourself-Invitations.com is an invitations and card making website that has soared in readership since its launch in Late 2006 and is ranked among the top 1% of all websites for traffic according to Alexa traffic rankings. Hatch believes the popularity is in part due to a combination of the economy and DIY bridal trends. "The online community of DIY brides is exploding right now. Whether they have financial reasons or are creating items to fit in with their unique style sense, more brides are turning back towards making items themselves."

The Handmade Invitations Contest runs through April 30th, 2011, giving brides plenty of time to finish up projects.

Children's Charities To Benefit From Purchase of Kids Birthday Party Invitations

Foothill Ranch, CA (PRWEB) January 28, 2012

"For 2012, we have chosen to support Joy Jars by Jessie and The NEGU Foundation," said Jeanette Herren, President of Announcingit Invitations. "These children's charities touched my heart, not only because Jessie was a part of our community and a member of our church, but because cancer has also touched my family."

For over 20 years, Announcingit Invitations & More has been spreading joy through the printing of invitations for kids birthday party invitations. Their decision to spread joy to children in need through contributing to charities for children was a natural fit.

Joy Jars and The NEGU Foundation, which stands for Never Ever Give Up, were inspired by Jessica Joy Rees, a courageous child who lost her 10-month battle with two inoperable brain tumors on January 5, 2012.

Jessie and the JoySquad filled over 3,000 Joy Jars for kids and distributed them to over 27 states and 7 children's hospitals. Her wish was to send JoyJars to every child fighting cancer in the United States which is over 50,000 kids. We hope to help her charities reach this goal by donating a portion of every kids birthday party invitation our customer's purchase.

Jeanette and her employees have been following the progress of another young cancer fighter, 6 year old Cade Spinello, the child of one of her son's teachers and former football coaches at Mission Viejo High School. For over a year, Cade has courageously been fighting his own battle with a brain tumor. Photos of Cade with his Joy Jar, pictures and videos of Jessie and links to her charities can be found on the Announcingit.com website.

February marks the company's 21st year in business, and Announcingit will be introducing new designs for their collection of kids invitations for birthdays, christening, baptism and first communion as well as additions to their standard line of colorful invitations for weddings, business and adults.

About Announcingit: Announcingit has been creating, designing and printing party invitations, holiday photo cards, party favors, and note cards for kids, adults, business and weddings for over 20 years. You can shop Announcingit.com on-line 24/7, visit their store in Foothill Ranch, California, follow them on Twitter, Facebook and their Blog.
