VoiceAmerica and Cision Launch PR Insider

Phoenix, AZ (PRWEB) September 16, 2008

VoiceAmerica (http://www.voiceamerica.com) a leader in on-line radio with 5 million unique visitors monthly, has teamed with Cision (http://www.us.cision.com) the leading global provider of media research, distribution, monitoring and evaluation services, to launch 13 episodes of PR INSIDER With Your Host Maureen Kedes, (http://www.prinsider.biz) premiering September 23, 2008, and airing live every Tuesday from 9-10 AM Pacific on the VoiceAmerica Business Network. PR Insider will provide listeners with a peak in to the world of public relations from the global leading experts. High profile guests in PR, Marketing, Advertising, and Media will join host Maureen Kedes, President of Vertex Communications, an L.A.-based PR firm.

"When Executive Producer Jon Missall of VoiceAmerica approached me to do this show, he originally wanted me to talk about my PR track record. But I was much more fascinated with talking to other publicists whom I rarely get a chance to interact with," says host Maureen Kedes, "I knew that if I could get my PR colleagues to 'break that 4th wall' and talk openly about their campaigns, then I was on to something groundbreaking. Awareness of the PR machine that runs our media is widespread. Everyone knows we exist and understands a bit of what we do. But how cool to have the guests on who make it all happen. I am most proud of my powerhouse guest list and my amazing sponsor, Cision (http://www.us.cision.com) who dove in and took a risk on something new."

PR Insider will feature global leaders in PR, media, and all kinds of promotions to share stories, anecdotes and "how to" and "how NOT to" strategies from their high visibility campaigns of the past and present. The premiere episode, Media Circus will feature guests Rita Cosby a triple Emmy Award winning journalist, best selling author, and Special Correspondent for Inside Edition, the nationally syndicated CBS show, and Fraser P. Seitel, author of The Practice of Public Relations in its 10th edition, Adjunct Professor of PR at NYU, columnist at Odwyerpr.com, and Managing Partner of Emerald Partners Public Relations PR. Mr. Seitel was the representative for Brooke Astor's grandson, the Rockefeller family (during the recent imposter kidnapping), and Dr. Mel Levine during his sex scandal. Mr. Fraser Seitel and Rita Cosby along with host Maureen Kedes, will take a look at the relationship between reporters, producers, anchors, hosts, journalists and the publicists when the story is big.

Selling Sexual Harassment, another installment, features PR representatives for Michael Jackson, Kobe Bryant, and Monica Lewinsky, in a discussion of how to make your client shine when the going gets rough. Other shows will feature leading publicists who represent sports stars, major corporations, politicians, or are viral marketing whizzes themselves.

Other topics discussed will include: damage control, tricks-of-the-trade, tips for successful PR campaigns, D-I-Y techniques, behind-the-scenes tips for corporate spokespeople and public speaking, "piggy backing" corporate messages on to bigger media stories, creating buzz, fueling and maintaining the media circus, integrating a company's promotional department with their PR department. The show will take callers and email questions and have give-aways.

Executive Producer Jon Missall of VoiceAmerica and its parent company Modavox notes, "I view this launch as a long time association between Ms. Kedes and the network. We are thrilled to be breaking new ground and know that this is the kind of radio that listeners need and want. We plan on this show being around for a long time."

PR Insider airs live on Tuesdays at 9 AM Pacific / 11 AM Central / Noon Eastern on the VoiceAmerica Business Network. To access the show, log on at http://www.modavox.com/voiceamericabusiness.
